War poems... what else is there to say?

GOODBYE FOR A WHILE
Goodbye, I have go my dear,
I have to fight in the war.
Be strong my dear, don’t cry my dear,
I’m afraid it is the law.
And I will come back, my dear,
One day I really will.
And I will come back with victory,
Marching over the hill.
When I come back my dear, I do,
Promise you a child.
But I have to say, goodbye, my dear,
Goodbye for a while.

OUR LOVE SHALL CARRY ON
I may be fighting in the war
But I still love you so.
This is more than just words
It is feeling you know.
And although everywhere is smoky
And in the sky there is a bomb.
No kind of war shall stop us-
Our love shall carry on.

SMOKE
Smoke, smoke,
Suffocating me.
Smoke, smoke
Suffocating me.
